Set against the desolate landscape of rural Nova Scotia, BOUND tells the story of Allan, a struggling shopkeeper, who ekes out a living on the outskirts of town. When his home furnace breaks down for good, Allan is pressured by his wife Carol to confront his brother Bill over outstanding debts. To Allan's surprise, Bill not only pays the money back in full, but his small-scale sawmill business also seems to be thriving. However, Allan soon discovers that there is more to Bill's sudden change in fortune. Confronted with an unsettling encounter, Allan finds himself ensnared in a moral predicament, the weight of which may be too much for him to bear.
BOUND is a story of empathy, brotherhood, and the bonds that constrain and compel us to act on our conscience.
