Drama / Spain, Germany / Canadian Premiere
Two men, a woman, a love, a desire stronger than the law and the wild nature of the world around them. Leonardo, The bride and the groom are an inseparable triangle since childhood, but Leonardo and the bride have an invisible and fierce connecting thread, impossible to be broken... Years pass and her distraught and unhappy, is preparing for her wedding to the groom in the middle of a white desert of salt and barren, where she lives with her father. The day before the ceremony, at her door calls an old beggar who gives her a gift and some advice: "Do not marry if you don’t love him", while giving her two glass daggers. A shiver runs through the Bride’s soul and body.
"The Bride" is, first and foremost, a great love story, one of the most beautiful Spanish imaginary tragedies where hypnotic landscape surrounds fascinating characters, comparable to the Romeo and Juliet of Anglo-Saxon culture, within the Mediterranean universe.
